David Klein

(conductor)

After having studied the piano with Edna Mador since he was seven years old, David Klein entered the Musicology Department of the Tel-Aviv University, at the same time pursuing his piano studies with Walter Aufhäuser, followed by Adi Rosenkranz at the Rubin Academy of Music (currently The Buchmann-Mehta School of Music in collaboration with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra). In 1996, with a Bachelor of Arts, Summa Cum Laude, his passion for French Baroque music led him to Paris, and to the Musicology Department of the Sorbonne. David Klein studied the fortepiano with Patrick Cohen at the Ancient Music Department of the CNR - Conservatoire Supérieur de Paris. Impassioned by vocal music, he took on conducting with Israeli Maestro Avner Itai. In 2009 David Klein founded the Texto Ensemble, of which he is musical director.
