Geneviève Cirasse

(mezzo-soprano)

Geneviève Cirasse began her musical education at the piano. She was then introduced to operatic singing, working notably with Christiane Issartel, Aurélia Legay, Guy Flechter, and obtained her Diplôme d'études musicales for singing in the class of Francis Dudziak at the CRR de Ville d'Avray. On stage, Geneviève Cirasse was the Child in Ravel's L'Enfant et les sortilèges (stage direction Christiane Issartel), Fé-an-ni-chton in Offenbach's Ba-ta-clan (music direction Emmanuel Martin, stage direction Daniel Thuann) and Oreste in La Belle Hélène (stage direction Bruno Lugan). She collaborates regularly with the ensemble Accentus and Laurence Equilbey. Geneviève also leads a successful acting career. She has acted in Feydeau's C'est une femme du monde (stage direction Claudine Vincent) and in Daniel Call's Les Jardins de l'horreur (stage direction Myrto Reiss) at the Théâtre du Chaudron à la Cartoucherie de Vincennes and the Théâtre du Lucernaire.
